High School Modernization

The modernization provided the existing classroom and program
spaces with the same features provided in the new buildings
while addressing life safety, building code and disabled
access requirements. The improvements included:
- Seismically
retrofitting the humanities, practical arts,
science and locker room buildings
- Upgrading electrical
power, data, clock and bell systems
- Extending
the new communication system to existing facilities
- Providing
disabled access to all buildings, restrooms and
student spaces
- Renovating student and faculty
restrooms, and the locker and shower facilities
- Expanding
the locker and team room facilities
- Relocating
main entry to the Media Building to the new student
quad
- Relocating and expanding space for the Alternative
Family Education program
- Renovating
the humanities building to provide facilities
to improve student programs
