Santa
Cruz High School Modernization

New
construction included a bridge and elevator tower
that not only provides access for the disabled
but unites the upper campus with the physical
education and sports facilities of the lower campus.
A new open-air dining pavilion was built to enhance
the quad area and provide an outdoor dining
and gathering place.
The basic infrastructure of
the campus was upgraded. Heating, ventilation,
telecommunications, and computing systems were
improved. The exterior library deck was replaced.
Some buildings received new windows and every
building was repainted. The locker rooms in the
gymnasium were remodeled, including installation
of new lockers, benches and upgrading to the shower/toilet
rooms. Site work included ramps and walkways as required
to provide access for the disabled. A new phone/intercom
system was installed, and the fire alarm and
intrusion systems were upgraded. New electrical
and data outlets were installed throughout
the school.
