Strategic Construction Management, Inc. was selected by the Santa Cruz City Schools Board of Trustees in 2002 to provide overall project management for their renovation and modernization program. The program consists of $35 million for improvements to nine elementary schools and $66 million for improvements to seven secondary schools. Strategic Construction Management, Inc. provides management of the design team, acts as the liaison between each school site and building contractors, as well as implementing and managing moving and relocation activities. We also provide a communication channel between the school administration, building contractors and the Bond Oversight Committee.
Our team has directly coordinated the facilities assessment, construction improvements and moving of classrooms, staff and students to temporary classroom facilities to accommodate the modernization.
Strategic Construction Management, Inc. has successfully coordinated the construction and modernization of over $101 million dollars of school facilities and grounds. All schools have been occupied with both staff and students during the majority of the work - with no incidents or injuries.
